Julian Sayin at the 2023 Elite 11 Finals. Student Sports

Julian Sayin is considered by many recruiting services as the top quarterback in the 2024 class, higher than that of Ohio State QB Air Noland. Sayin recently decommitted from Alabama after Nick Saban’s retirement. Ohio State are undoubtedly interested in the possibility of adding Sayin to the 2024 recruiting class, which is already in the top 10. According to 247Sports’s Steve Wiltfong, Ohio State offensive staff and Head Coach Ryan Day will hold a meeting tomorrow to make a final decision on whether or not to pursue Sayin. If they pursue Sayin, there is a feeling that he will be a Buckeye. By adding Sayin to the roster, Ohio State will have 5 Quarterbacks on the roster including recent Kansas State transfer, Will Howard, who is expected to be the starter for the 2024 season. There is a threat that a few quarterbacks including Noland could leave if Sayin arrives. That is a risk worth taking because although Noland is exceptionally talented, Sayin is simply on another level. He is also undoubtedly clear of Kienholz and Devin Brown. College Football is a talent acquisition business, not a business based on the feelings of teenagers. Ryan Day needs to understand that and pursue Sayin. Kyle McCord learned that a few months ago. My prediction is if Sayin arrives, Brown and Keinholz will leave.
