In my Love Victor Season 1 review, I said I want the writers to explore Benji, Felix and I want more unique character interactions like Felix and Pilar or Pilar and Mia as the show progresses. I got the necessary explorations into Benji and Felix and they were well done. I liked how they incorporated Benji’s struggles with alcoholism more. I was happy to see Felix and Pilar interact and I was even happier when *spoiler* they got together. I could live without Pilar and Mia interacting. I do like the way Mia was incorporated into the overall plot. Not overused but not underused either. I like how they set up Mia and Andrew getting together in the season. I also loved the new character in Rahim. They set him up perfectly. Lake was much less cringeworthy and much better written than last season. I like the tease at the end with her and Lucy. The only weaknesses were lack of development of Lucy and the quickness of Armando and Isabel getting back together. I mean Armando literally kissed Dawn!!! There was barely any set up to that, at least a scene where Armando admitted to Dawn that he wanted to get back with Isabel would have sufficed. I get that there are only 30 minutes however. I am very pleased with this season. It is light years better than last season. The cliff hanger was well executed and I cannot wait for season 3. I hope Season 3 will focus more on Andrew and Lucy’s backstories.
